M's story

Over time, segments of a story are being revealed by M, identified only by a timestamp - no date. These may be read chronologically by appearance, or by timestamp. One possible connection between two of these events implies a parallel date progression with the dates they're revealed:

At 11:56am (revealed Dec 6, 2012), one of the two men, the man who leaves the restaurant, says he'll be back January 15th. On 12:42pm (revealed Jan 15, 2013), the same restaurant scene is utilized, and one man is there waiting for his "friend" who doesn't show up.

• December 6, 2012 (Full text) - Summary:

Two men are chatting in a diner. One is humorless, playing a sort of magic trick with the other. A Queen of Diamonds is pulled by the 2nd man, which bothers him. The 1st man recently gave him more of something. The friendly waitress, known by her middle name Tina, is serving them. The 1st man leaves, saying he'll be back this way January 15th.

• December 11, 2012 (Full text) - Summary:

A store keeper is dealing with individual, possibly a boy, and a box. He is interrupted by a man who has been observing him, notably even in Boston, and is looking for "a key". The store owner known of the key and the boy who carries it - likely the one who moments earlier ran out the back of the store.

• December 26, 2012 (Full text) - Summary:

A man on the subway, heading to Powell Street, is noticed by a woman in a red hat. She presumes he is meeting with someone he loves by the way he's dressed, and by the nice box he's carrying as a gift. Politely, he implies he's meeting someone close to him, but when leaving the car at Powell, he informs her he's there to kill someone.

• January 4, 2013 (Full text) - Summary:

A young boy is talking to his father, likely unable to sleep. He doesn't like ghosts, particularly a man he's thinking about. The father does his best to calm his son by saying ghosts, and the man, aren't real.

• January 15, 2013 (Full text) - Summary:

Two children, Eleanor and Michael are at home in the country, when two riders approach; a tall man and a short fat man with a gun. Ellie hides in a tree while Michael peeks from inside the house. She falls, and the men approach and threaten her. Elizabeth appears and attacks the men. This is found to be a daydream by the man the restaurant, interrupted by Tina, wondering if his "friend" will be coming by. He doesn't. The last line of this entry implies she talks to people she doesn't see, as she wishes him well.

• January 29, 2013 (Full text) - Summary:

A mentally challenged boy is going about his business at a store, and finds a woman carrying a lot of bread. His reaction makes her uncomfortable and it saddens him. Looking at the time on his Mickey Mouse watch, just after 5:00, he ran out the store through a group of boys who make fun of him. He ran around the corner to the street "Miss Alice" lives on (Powell Street?), and spotted a man he called "Mr. Black" watching him from a nearby lamp post. Miss Alice heard him yelling and ran to him, but then looking at the post, the man had gone.

• August 23, 2013 (Full text) - Summary:

The two men meet in the diner. One tells a version of the creation story. The other gives him a box of keys. This is their first time meeting at this diner - the waitress notes they are new faces.

• March 14, 2014 (Full text) - Summary:

A distraught man comes into a room with a counter, behind which stands a man. The man is hesitant, worrying about his son, but upon prompting hands a key to the man behind the counter. The man behind the counter hands him an envelope, upon which is written '22'. He welcomes the man to The Starlight.

• May 2, 2014 (Full text) - Summary:

A man and a boy talk. The man asks the boy what he saw. The boy responds that he doesn't know, but it was in a house, that wasn't quite a house. The man tells him he must go back, and that this time it will hurt.

• December 17, 2014 (Full text) - Summary:

Two men talk. One asks the other if he saw the house. The other replies that he isn't sure what he saw, but that he gets the feeling he doesn't want to see it. He asks after Tina, and the first man notes that he is scared.
